Good Night to start off the New Year...

Happy New Year to all!! The day after New Year's day My Pops invited Asia, Me, and my Brother to go eat Indian food at this Indian resteraunt called Passage Way To India and watch some comedy at the Stress Factory in New Brunswick. First off Indian food is honestly amazing!! It's alittle spicy which wasn't that bad, a very fullfilling meal. We went back to my Pops crib and watched the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie which brought back many memories! Finally after the movie we went to the Stress Factory, and honestly I never noticed how nice New Brunswick could be at night very insightful shit. Finally we arrive at the club only find out I can't take pictures nor film any of the Comedic acts. The two Comedians of the night were Jim Mendrinos and Kevin Brennan, both amazingly hilarious. After nearly crying from laughter the show was over, I ended up Purchasing Kevin Brennan's DVD and CD which both were signed. All in all after a great night me and Asia went back to the grind. as always there's pictures below and since I couldn't take any pics or film anything I decided to put up some videos from youtube, enjoy.

Grilled Cheese Party!

So last night Asia,My boy RT, and I were chillen, smoked alil suttin suttin nah mean? lol..Anywayz thru out the conversation my boy RT was talkin bout how he never had a good grilled cheese sandwich. So me and my dude hit the store to get cheese and a few essentials and BANG! The Grilled Cheese Party was birthed. Thru all and all RT enjoyed his grilled cheese sandwich and I on the other hand figured out Asia can make a bangin ass Grilled Cheese sandwich. Peep the pics below.

A Day At The Bronx Zoo

Now ever since me and Asia got together she always bothered me to go to The Bronx Zoo. I would tell her "Baby its winter, we can't go to The Bronx Zoo". As funny as that sounds her mad face and attitude was even more funny. So fast forward to a week ago. My nigga Hussle told me he's going on vacation and everybody had the week off. So I decided on our "staycation" Asia,My Mother, and me would go to The Bronx Zoo, needless to say everybody was souped and happy to go. Walked for 5 miles in the day, seen most of the animals we were excited to see. I also learned that when your a kid you don't know how to apperciate something as beautiful as the zoo, sometimes being older and alittle wiser has it's benefits. So here are the pictures below:

ROCK STEADY FOR LIFE..... OR REALLY?

For this blog entry, Miss Asia will be taking over "Words from the Porcelain God". Well this past Sunday, I got to "enjoy" my first Rocksteady Anniversary hosted by the E.O.W. I got to see some very familiar faces including the lovely L.Boogs and Omar from Black Flag Shoppe as well as Sheena She from Chainsaws & Jelly. Oh, and of course, the whole Gritty family was there as well. Unfortunately, not only did it get rained on and shut down 2 hours early, some of the lackluster performances made me wonder if I got to experience the true essence of the Rocksteady Anniversary. The tornado warning surrounding the Newark area did not stop the true Hip-Hop lovers from screaming in the rain, "HELL NO, WE WONT GO!". But let me not stew upon the negatives. I did get to see some Hip-Hop legends, including Jeru da damaja, Peebly Pooh, Roxanne Shantae, Sean Price, and Cormega. We also had the pleasure of seeing Newarks own Spazzout Boys, Dujeous, and Vice Verses & Big Zoo from the EOW. Also, Newark's mayor Cory Booker stopped by to show support to the event. And of course, Crazy Legs and the rest of the Rocksteady Crew was in full force. To be perfectly honest, Cormega's set was very disappointing. His dj did not have any of his music set up and overall killed the vibe of Rocksteady. Hopefully, next year's will make up for this year's mishaps. Of course, here are some photos from Rocksteady.
